As the Director of Risk Management for Labor Finders International, Inc., Wayne Salen oversees corporate operations in 32 states. His responsibilities include all property & casualty programs on a financing and servicing basis as well as safety, health, contract administration, claims management (all lines), and regulatory compliance. Also responsible for customer and employee selection and integration process and all corporate training and education.
Labor Finders, founded in 1975 in
West Palm Beach,
Florida, is comprised of a focused network of over 285 offices nationwide. Labor Finders pecializes in qualified temporary workers for industrial, commercial and construction projects. Labor Finders also provides production/assembly workers, maintenance technicians, electricians, carpenters, welders, office/clerical, as well as service positions from chefs to wait staff and more. With more than 195,000 customers, Labor Finders provides an average of 16,500 jobs each day, logging over 23 million hours of work annually for customers. This constitutes a 6% share of the day labor market, and a 1.8% share of the entire
U.S. industrial staffing business.
Prior to his appointment with Labor Finders,
Wayne served with AON Risk Consultants as a outsouced Risk Manger to the SUBWAY sandwich restaurant chain with responsibility for all employee benefits, property, casualty, safety & health, and resulting policy and programmatic activity.
As Director of Risk Management with Home Quality Management,
Wayne created and made operational an off-shore captive for
a
multi-state casualty program. He was also responsible for property and benefits financing as well as all policy and program needs of risk management.
Wayne has also held Director of Risk Management positions with the
County of
Niaga
ra; New Millennium Care, Inc.; and Peter J. Schmitt Company, Inc. in Upstate New York. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at
Buffalo.
Wayne is a active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS, www.rims.org), serves on the External Affairs Committee, is a nominee for the RIMS Board of Directors for 2007-2008, and is the moderator/coordinator of Employment Services Industry Session to be held at RIMS 2007 in
New Orleans this year.
